I help North London businesses make practical use of AI.
I grew up on Stapleton Hall Road in Crouch End and still live locally on Ferme Park Road. JoeAI is my way of bringing big-brand digital experience, AI search knowledge and practical business advice back to the independent businesses and people building something around me.
Local businesses deserve practical AI help, not hype
When ChatGPT launched in late 2022, a lot of people saw something new. I saw a faster version of the same challenge I had been working on for years: how to automate repetitive work, save time, improve visibility and help businesses grow without wasting effort.
I had already spent more than a decade in SEO, digital strategy, website optimisation and growth across global brands and fast-moving businesses. I had worked on the same core problem in different forms: helping businesses do more with less, and do it better. What changed with AI was the speed, the scale and how quickly small businesses needed someone to translate it into plain English.
More than ten years helping brands grow online
Before JoeAI, I built my experience across global brands, London institutions, startups and agencies. That mix is a big part of how I work now: strategic when needed, practical when it counts.
Led global SEO and digital experience for Volkswagen
I led SEO strategy and governance across 13 focus markets, helping Volkswagen improve online market share, strengthen technical standards and adapt to AI-driven search. During that work, Volkswagen overtook Tesla and Hyundai in global online market share, while EU5 performance held the number one spot ahead of Toyota.
Worked across Dove, Magnum, Hellmann’s and Knorr
I helped define technical SEO and UX standards across 18 Unilever brand websites, supported digital transformation work and built scalable audit and training frameworks that improved capability across teams.
Helped grow Visitlondon.com and led search work across major London projects
I worked across Visitlondon.com, LondonandPartners.com and other high-profile properties, helping support a site that averaged around 30 million visits a year. I also led SEO strategy for Theatre.London, which generated £500,000 in revenue and ranked first for several core theatre terms.
Delivered measurable growth for startups and ecommerce brands
As a consultant, I worked on digital growth strategy for fast-growing brands, including a Shopify jewellery business where targeted improvements grew organic traffic by 60 percent, increased sales by 89 percent and generated more than £4 million in revenue.
I know the pressure of building something from scratch
Not everything in my background came from big companies. I have also worked close to the reality of growing businesses where time, cash and energy are all tight.
Protein Haus taught me what growth really looks like
I was the strategic lead at Protein Haus, a London fitness food startup that grew to seven locations. Alongside digital strategy and social growth, I helped with staff training, customer service and the practical work that comes with scaling a young business.
Coaching basketball shaped how I work with people
Outside work I coach basketball, and that has had a real impact on how I think. It keeps me focused on teamwork, calm decision-making, consistency and helping people improve without overcomplicating things.
AI, AI search and what is actually worth doing
A lot of business owners do not need another abstract explanation of AI. They need someone to look at their business, explain what matters clearly and help them take the next sensible step.
Useful applications, not hype
The aim is always to save time, improve work or make growth easier to manage.
Show up more clearly online
AI search changes how people discover brands, services and local businesses.
Direct work with business owners
No jargon-heavy handoff and no bloated consulting process.
Big-brand knowledge, local format
That is the whole point of JoeAI.
Crouch End is home, and that matters
I grew up here and still live here. Most weekends you will find me chasing after my daughter in Stationers Park or getting muddy with her in Priory Park, which is a good reminder that local business is about real people, real places and the communities around them.
Local is not a marketing angle for me
It is personal. I want to see the independent shops, restaurants, accountants, consultants and service businesses around North London do well because they are part of the place I know and care about.
